The wooly mammoth lived during the last ice age; it survived because it had 3 layers of warmth--- a fat layer, a wool layer and thick hair. It was the size of a house and weighed as much as a bus. The wooly mammoth ate sage and willow. Its predators were saber toothed tigers, wolves, and humans. It used its tusks and trunk as defense.
