Cretaceous Period, 68-66 Ma
The name T. rex means king of the tyrant lizards. They are speculated to have weighed 12 tons and measured 40 feet long and 12.5 feet tall at the hips. It was an apex predator and ate other dinosaurs. I chose t. rex because I like large animals. There are not as many large organisms as there were in the past.
