Priya works with mixed media, acrylics, and her art is predominantly abstract in nature. Her inspirations come from various sources including her Indian heritage, daily experiences, travel, and current events. Some of her work draws from the rich Indian mythology, while others, such as "Life is a juggle" and "Wildfire", are inspired by her personal life experiences and current events. Priya hosted her first solo exhibition in February 2020, which received great success and appreciation. She was also chosen as one of the artists to display her work at Bass Concert Hall in 2021 and looks forward to participating in more exhibits in the coming years.
As an Indian American artist, I am proud to bring the vibrant colors and rich cultural heritage of Northern India to my art. My passion for creativity extends beyond painting and encompasses food, design, and writing. I believe that color stimulates emotion, as Matisse once said, and I strive to reflect this in my work. My art is abstract in nature, as I find inspiration in my daily life, travel experiences, and current events.
