About Cheri Bohn

Cheri Bohn has been interested in art since the first grade when she learned about Van Gogh’s ear. She grew up in Texas and graduated from The University of North Texas in Denton, TX with a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts and a double major in sculpture and education. Cheri and her family moved to the Ozark Mountains in 1999. After growing up on 20 acres she loved getting back to nature. Bohn has worked with stained glass since 1994 and in 2002, was inspired to add stained glass to the unique tree roots she found laying around the yard. Bohn is a certified art teacher in Arkansas, but her passion is sculpture studio practice. She’s been featured as one of five people annually to be in the Fayetteville Insider’s Guide, appears in local Northwest AR papers, as well as in her hometown and college town newspapers in Texas. She is also featured in the Visual Arts Guide for Fayetteville, AR. Cheri Bohn has a working studio at Art Ventures in Fayetteville where she is a represented artist. She was also on permanent display at Terra Studios in Durham, AR, and at Eurekan Art Studio in Eureka Springs, AR. Bohn has participated in the Art Expo’s in New York and Las Vegas, the Burning Man Festival in Nevada and many others.

My interest in art started in 1st grade with Van Gogh’s ear. I stood out in High School as a good artist. In college I fell in love with the 3D form. I learned stained glass from a fellow classmate in the early 90’s. Knowing it was a dying art form I was attracted to it. After my family and I moved to NW Arkansas the roots inspired my current body of work. Balancing with nature is my message.
