I love spending time outdoors and have always been drawn to the vast variety of beauty in nature. My richest inspirations are the forests, lakes, rivers, and gardens found in our area and in places I’ve traveled. Capturing those fleeting moments of delight in a bloom, a sparkle, or the reflection of a sunrise, and then condensing them to savor later—that is the essence of my work.

I began the process of learning to make wire jewelry after inheriting a collection of stones and beads. Each piece that I make is a unique and original design incorporating stones, beads, leather, and found objects. I love the process of choosing the materials and letting inspiration direct my designs. My early painting experience with oils and watercolors led to experimenting in a more abstract and free style. I found a passion for the medium of fluid acrylics. My art is based on the movement of liquid paint and how it flows and mixes in ways I could never achieve with just a brush. I love to utilize multiple layers, metallic highlights, and enthusiastic colors in my abstracts, florals, landscapes and depictions of water. I hope that these paintings and jewelry will spark your imagination and inspire you to enjoy the beauty in the world in which we live.
