Cory D. Perry is a multimedia artist based in Northwest Arkansas, USA. They have received their Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Arkansas School of Art and studied in the Post-baccalaureate program, in Sculpture and Museum research, at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana. Their research has led them to explore many different places, both nationally and internationally, including Johannesburg in South Africa, Kumasi in Ghana, New Orleans, and Houston, in the U.S.
Their accolades include The Outstanding Student Achievement Award by the International Sculpture Center and The Black Apple Award presented by The Idle Class Magazine. They received the prestigious 2019 Windgate-Lamar Fellowship, providing the opportunity to travel to Ghana and Haiti to research the art of crafting beads, weaving, and the spiritual nature of those objects.
